I hear you! It's heartbreaking to see your child go through the exact same thing. My son is getting it from his father too. We have to just keep being that stable, consistent, loving force in their lives that they can rely on 💛
I see this with my husband too. It’s like he has amnesia when it comes to his parents’ manipulations and harmful behavior. I have to remind him that’s it’s actually a pattern, or that it actually happened. Forgetting or minimizing is a trauma response he learned in childhood.
